What is omar portee?

Omar Portee is a former drug dealer and street gang leader who became a key government witness in the trial of former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick. Portee was a close associate of Kilpatrick and provided testimony regarding the corrupt activities of the mayor and his associates. Portee was sentenced to 18 years in prison for his own criminal activities but received a reduced sentence in exchange for his cooperation with the government.
